Christmas Ball Project

In 2003, then Commissioner Nancy Gearhart in order to award volunteers for their work in Town began with a Christmas Ball depicting  the Ridgely House.  Every year after, the christmas ball depicted another Ridgely landmark. After she retired as commissioner, the Ridgely Historical Society assumed responsibility in 2009. Town Hall continues to purchase the christmas balls each year to award volunteers, but enough christmas balls are printed to offer them for sale to the general public. The selection for 2017 is Ridgely’s New Town Flag      created for the Town’s 150th birthday, a first for Ridgely.
