Town Of Ridgely History

RidgelyHistory01

The Ridgely Historical Society was formed by Janice White the end of 2005 at a request from the Town Manager. The idea to form an historical society was an offshoot of an attempt by the Town to create an historical district. While this didn’t happen, the Ridgely Historical Society became a chapter of the Caroline County Historical Society in March of 2006.

First officers were:
Janice White, President
Nancy Gearhart, VP
Jerry Sutton, Treasurer
Jeanne Saulsbury, Secretary

Meetings are held at 6:30pm the 1st Thursday of the month, September  thru May.

The Ridgely Historical Society is a non-profit organization and any donations  are tax deductible.
