Rails To Trails | Ridgely Historical Society, Chapter CCHS, Ridgely, MD

Groundbreaking for the 1/3 mile Rail-to-Trails Project was held on November 9^th, 2009 in Railroad Memorial Park near the Train Station. As the ceremony was taking place, Bramble Construction was putting the finishing touches to the bike path in the background often drowning out the speeches. Due to favaorable weather and timing, construction began way ahead of schedule

The official dedication was held on Saturday, May 2nd, 2010, during the 3rd Annual Ole Time Ridgely Days. The 1/3 mile bike path is the first rails-to-trails project completed within Caroline County.
